Hey guys! So I think I mentioned this before but I was pretty excited but also nervous about this new Death Note adaptation coming out on Netflix. I said I was going to give it a chance and oh my, did I try! Warning for spoilers
So in this Death Note adaptation we have Light Turner, a highschool student with behavioral problems at school. He seems to hate the injustices of the world as we see him have a heated argument with his father about his mother’s death and he even stands up to a bully at school…only after someone else does it first. He also seems to be a smart cookie, if him doing the homework of 15 other students in exchange for money is anything to go by. Then one day, a notebook with the title Death Note practically falls into his hands. Intrigued by the book, Light decides to keep it and after a supernatural hello from an 8 foot monster, Light realizes he can right the wrongs of the world by writing someone’s name in the notebook Continue reading [Review] Death Note, the Netflix Original and New Take on The Concept

Now that the formalities are done with, let me begin my tale. I went to the theatres to watch the Ghost in the Shell Live Action the day it came out because I had a day off from work and I got free tickets. I went in expecting GitS to be pretty terrible because everyone was bashing on it (I’m sure you all heard the whole whitewashing issue) and because anime live action adaptations rarely meet my expectations (AoT I’m looking at you)
Anyways, so I went to watch this movie but when I went, I went in not really knowing what the anime movie was about. I did read Takuto’s post about GitS but reading about it and actually watching the movie and series are different (plus I don’t think his review covered the movie the live action was based off of) Continue reading [Review] Ghost in the Shell Liveaction Movie
So the other day I was thinking I wanted to watch some movies to help diversify the content on my blogs, instead of just having anime and manga. But I was a bit hesitant since I don’t like to watch movies by myself. I’m more the type to watch with someone else and then talk about it with them.
That’s when I randomly thought of BL dramas and how I’d never watched one before! After doing a bit of research I found Seven Days and immediately headed over. However, as I was watching the live action I couldn’t stop myself from picking up the manga, so instead of doing a review on the live action by itself, I thought I’d do a semi-comparison/overall review of both. All the love songs are so obvious
Love itself is obvious
You meet, love, part away, get hurt, and you meet again
So I decided my first movie for the Valentine’s Special should be something fun and relaxed, and out of the list of movies I was recommended, My PS Partner fit the bill….and for the most part it did. This movie is rated R or M or whatever the rating is for nudity, phone sex, actual sex, and you know, all that bedroom shabang! (I totally did not expect boobs 7 minutes into the movie LOL). Also, possible spoilers? I try not to go into too much detail after a certain point, hehe
My PS Partner is a short, almost 2 hour movie about love, heartbreak, and mending hearts that I (surprisingly) really enjoyed. It made me tear up because I was laughing so hard, made me make whale noises, and go Awww at the end. Continue reading [Review] My PS Partner: Whatcha Wearing Down There?
