ACEN 2018 Manga and Artists Alley Haul

Is it already summer?! How did half the year already end? I could have sworn it was February last week…

I guess the nice thing about it already being May (into June) is conseason. YUP. ACEN was actually a week or so ago, marking it as my second convention of the year. Usually I post a convention list of where I’m going but lately it’s all been up in the air. The only two conventions I know I’ll be attending in the near future are Colossalcon in OH (early June) and AX in CA (early July). Oh my where will I find the money for such an extravagant lifestyle (lolol) Continue reading “ACEN 2018 Manga and Artists Alley Haul”

Bringing The Anime and BL with Me to University

Hey guys! So it’s sort of old news but I am now living on campus and I thought I’d share 1) my side of the room’s look and 2) some of my recent purchases (and by this I mean stuff I bought in the last 3 months). One of the things I struggled with when I was choosing what to bring with me was the idea of space. How much of my things would be able to fit? Were there shelves and if so how many books should I take? Would I fill the whole shelf?!

In the end, I sort of made a compromise with myself. I would only bring a little bit, see what was left to decorate and then bring some more stuff later on. Continue reading “Bringing The Anime and BL with Me to University”

Share Your Work for the #JonsCreatorShowcase~

jonscreatorshowcase-2fjons_creator_showcase-2fjon_spencer_reviews-2flogo-2f1

Hey guys, so we’re nearing the end of the month and I probably said I’d take entries until today or yesterday but I’m extending it until Friday. Feel free to still send me some links to your works (ideally on twitter but also feel free to leave them in the comments section too)! Don’t know what this is?

Basically you submit some of your best work from February, be it a blog post, a video, cosplay, fanart, fanfiction, and really the list goes on and on! I will then create a blog post with the entries so that others can browse through them. Think of it like a digital art gallery :3

And if you’ve already submitted something but know anyone who might be interested, let them know. So far the entries I’ve seen have been added to this Twitter Moment. If your entry is not in here then chances are I didn’t see it (so please let me know!)

p.s. Feel free to share someone else’s work that impressed you for February as well

OWLS Competition Blog Tour: I Wish I Could Be Like Sawamura

In honor of the 2018 Winter Olympics, this month topic will focus on the theme, “Competition” because the Olympics is where athletes from all countries join together to compete in sporting events. Through these events, we see how “competition” brings out the grit, the teamwork, and the competitive spirit within athletes. This month, we will be exploring anime and pop culture media that discusses the good and the bad when it comes to competition and what it can teach us about ourselves and the world around us.

So if you’ve been around for awhile, you might already know I’m sort of kind of maybe a little obsessed and in love with this one show called Ace of Diamond (lovingly called Daiya by it’s very devoted fanbase). And while I was thinking of doing something “outside the box” for this tour I ended up just going with Daiya. Or more specifically, Sawamura Eijun, our underdog of the story Continue reading “OWLS Competition Blog Tour: I Wish I Could Be Like Sawamura”

OWLS Revival Blog Tour: Nishiura Helped with Mihashi’s Revival But Ultimately It’s Up to Him to Grow

A new year implies “new beginnings.” Yet, rather than discussing the “new,” we will be discussing the “revival.” “Revival”  has multiple definitions, but the meaning we will be focusing on is the improvement, development, or refinement of something. Our posts will be about characters that undergo a positive or negative transformation and what we can learn from them.

Also, I just HAVE to say this because I find it hilarious, but last year for our first tour I wrote up a post about Erased and omg, Satoru had that power called Revival…Hehehe

But before I begin my actual post, new year means possible new followers who have no idea what the heck OWLS even means. Now then, gather round my fellow bloggers for I shall now briefly talk about this amazing group that started one year ago. OWLS is a blogging group where we do blog tours based on monthly themes in order to promote awareness and spread love. One Lovely Blog Award: 7 Weird Things About Crimson

Hey guys! I finally got around to doing another of these tagged posts and I think this will be the last one this year. Why? My time is going to be taken up by all the end of year posts I want to do (they’re not many, but coupled with some irl stuff I need to do, it’s kind of a lot). I really wanted to get to the Hotties tag I got (guys, renominate me for this one so I can just talk about my bishies forever) but that might come out sometime in January Continue reading “One Lovely Blog Award: 7 Weird Things About Crimson”
