NaBloPoMo Starts Today!

Hey guys! How have you all been? Hopefully well~

So, in case you guys didn’t know, today marks the first day of NaBloPoMo (National Blogger Posting Month)! What I understand is that for the month of November, bloggers take up a challenge of writing one post per day for the whole month, which means 30 posts in 30 days. Sounds pretty simple, no?

nablopomooExcept that it’s not, I’m sure it’s not, that’s why it’s a challenge! And even though I’ve failed every other challenge that I’ve taken (as you can see I can’t even finish my 30 day music challenge), I’m going to try again. For one, I think it’ll be fun to try and think up a post for each day, and two, why not? There’s actually an FAQ page for anyone interested in the challenge.

I had heard about it a year ago and I thought it sounded fun, but at the time I wasn’t a frequent blogger so I decided not to join, now however…I feel more ingrained in the community. And posting just pictures is allowed so if I fail to think up anything this may be my last resort option >_< !

This will be my Master Post where I’ll link to all the posts I’ve done for this month, since not all of them may be on this blog! Though my goal will be to put out as many anime and manga related posts as I can (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑

Crimson is an aniblogger on wordpress who can't seem to stop fangirling about all the lovely bishies. When not writing content for the blog (and consuming media), Crimson can be found in bed with a hot cup of tea by their side, sobbing over fanfiction (or maybe even writing it)

  1. I never heard of this before; it’s a really good counterpart to Nanowrimo, which is taking up all the time in my day already lol. Getting a blog post every day is always a cool thing, though; on my old personal blog from 2009-2014, I think I went a month in 2012 where I posted almost every single day, even if it was something stupid. It ended up with a lot of people reading each post by the end (a lot meaning like, 12, because that was way more visitors than I usually got lol).

    1. Yeah, I’d heard a lot about nanowrimo but this is fairly ‘new’ to me, though I did read you can do this whenever but that November is kind of like ‘the big month’

Ah, I’ve always wanted to do wrimo but I’d most likely fail and I don’t think I’m ready to commit to something I imagine is really exhausting, maybe next year when I’m not that busy 😛 Did you end up coming back to what you wrote and editing?

That’s good! I’m probably going to end up doing random stuff mid way through this, it’s so sad but fun :’)

      1. I usually never edit any blog posts so when I post them it’s usually permanent and stuff. I did win Nanowrimo one year, and I went back and edited PARTS but not the whole thing. I took sections of it and turned them into independent short stories; worked better that way, because the original version was garbage (Which of course is completely fine, it’s supposed to be written fast, not well).

Definitely recommend this kind of thing; writing in bulk is fun and helps you grow as a writer a lot, even if the content isn’t as top-notch as it could be.

        1. Nice! what happens when you win?

I used to write more often before, now a days i don’t 😛 but im hoping to pick it up again, so many ideas i never developed!

    1. So when you win does that just mean that you completed the challenge or is there an actual competition? And that is pretty rewarding :3

(huh, that is weird, I wonder why you can’t @_@)

      1. There’s a setting in WordPress that lets you control how many “layers” deep a comment thread can get. The default one is like, 4.

When you win Nanowrimo, you completed the challenge, though since many people don’t finish, the competition is finishing in the first place! lol

        1. I found it ! Haha, so many days later 😛
I see, I see, well I’d probably be part of that group that doesn’t finish (as I’ve yet to successfully finish any of the challenges I take), and if you’re participating in this year’s nanowrimo, good luck! :3
